I am so happy and so thankful and so excited to tell the world that our sweet little Coben (Coby) — our 12th child, our 7th son is HERE!!!!! He was born at 2:50pm on October 31 – a sweet little treat, a Halloween baby. He’s perfect in every way and everyone from Kerry down to Elly is absolutely elated to have him home. More

Man oh man, what a week I’ve had. To put this in perspective, I’m 36 weeks pregnant and my entire summer of emotional drama pales in comparison to what has transpired over the last 10 days. A rough day for both boys in the 2nd World Cup Series Competition has seen us going through all the typical array of emotions:  shock (how the hell did I score so low), Anger (what the eff, are they blind?), Frustration (I dunno what the hell is going on), and finally Perseverance (I’ll KILL it next time). So we’ve been at the beach for 1 week and it was the best full week ever. There was minimal fighting, sand, salt and wind swept kids who crashed the minute we returned to the RV, and total utter fun and relaxation. We’d get down to the beach around 10 am and not return to camp until 5 or 6 or even later. Shower, eat and pass out. More

So, we’re home, for one week … and no-one is particularly excited about it. Living in an RV this summer just very well become permanent as it’s hands down the most bonding, freeing, amazing, life-altering, extreme thing we’ve done to date and that’s saying a lot! More

Raising a Badass Family is a ramped-up, modern version of that which Dr. Spock and Dr. T. Berry Brazelton pioneered in both the 1940’ s and 1990’s. More

I have been feeling like death and so for the past 3 or 4 days, I’ve been hanging out at home, schooling and reading and reading and reading posts on the Internet, specifically those on facebook. My interests don’t lie with what yawl had for dinner or where you are at this exact moment, rather I love politics and I love a good debate. But something has changed over the past 15 years or so. Traditionally this feast is celebrated the 12th day after Christmas, January 6th, but this year, in the United States, this feast day has been moved to january 8th!  Twelfth Night is a day of partying and feasting … lots and lots of feasting, lots and lots of partying and a day chock full of education that encompasses all 5 senses.
