Day one of the Alabama Mountain Games includes the Huckfest off the big waterfall on
Short Creek and the Boatercross race off the waterfall and under it. It was an awesome day of paddling. This was Kady’s first waterfall, and although she was scared at first, she ran the waterfall about a dozen times!! Super fun!! 
Happy Birthday to Grady!! What did he want to do for his birthday? Big surprise…kayak and play Playstation. So we kayaked and hooked up PS3 to our computer monitor.
The title is a about our brilliant children and their plan to make Grady fall into the river off a vine they were swinging on (they thought the vine would break on Grady). The plan backfired and Dally ended up in the river instead…Ha Ha!!
Happy to be back on the water after a few days out! Time to get used to holes again instead of waves and what better place to do that than at the Pigeon??
Another amazingly awesome day at Rock Island. Grady and Brody decided to seal launch off a cliff into the river from way high up. It’s one of those moments that just makes you laugh out loud every time you think about it (or watch the video). Hope you enjoy it too.
The second leg of our epic RV living adventure began in Rock Island, TN where we ran the spout waterfall with Clay Wright and Team Jackson Kayak. Then we headed to Washington, D.C. for the March For Life and visited some museums. Next we visited some amazing friends in Mechanicsville, VA who own The Dance Company and some of us got to show off our moves! They even gave our kids a hose — in January!! It got ugly!!
1. Consult your doctor before performing this insane activity. He may want to do a psychological exam, that’s ok, you’ll pass.
2. Before leaving the warm comfort of your home make sure to bring your GoPro because you are going to want proof to show your friends that you are, indeed, that crazy.
3. Leave your car running, with the heat on high. Sure, this might waste gas but it won’t be running idle for long, trust me!

We have been so busy packing up to move out of our house and into our RV that it took a little while to find the time to get this video up of our Shoshone Run on New Years Day. It was cold, but we had a blast,Dan rolled and Kady rolled in the icy water. Everyone had fun and can’t wait to paddle with icebergs again.
At 19 degrees Fahrenheit, Grady Kellogg of Glenwood Springs is bringing in the new year on the icy Shoshone rapids.
