12 babies in 18 years did a serious number on my physique and I was so unhappy with the way I looked, with the way my clothes fit and I truly was beginning to feel like I’d been hit by a mack truck nearly every day.  I was just feeling defeated.

Now that’s no way to live, and I knew that, but sticking to something and seeing results quickly enough so that I didn’t lose my motivation was difficult.  But you know what was the most difficult?  Finding something that didn’t have a rebound, that didn’t automatically pack on the lbs the minute I stopped dieting, now that seemed virtually impossible.

Until early 2016 when everything changed.  I just went to work.

Now, instead of being the seeker of information, I’m the provider of information.  Everyone, from my best of friends to strangers on the street want to know what the heck I am doing to finally be shedding the extra weight!

Suddenly I’m not just the girl to go to with parenting questions, or travel inquiries, but now I’m the “fit chick” with the magic potion.  Did I see that coming?  Not in one million years.  But, I am living proof it’s possible!

I studied.  A lot.  I scoured health articles and read dozens of books, I questioned my Dr, my acupuncturist, my essential oils distributor, my homeopathic guru.  I talked to trainers and I inhaled books and publications on wellness. If it’s pertaining to health, I have read it.

I’ve studied so much I could write a book, but alas, I’m already writing a book about our travels, so the weight loss, energy boosting, age-defying new lifestyle book will have to wait.

But, I can divulge some secrets here on the KelloggShow website!  Because, well, I truly love y’all.  You’ve prayed for us, when I begged for prayers.  You’ve laughed when we laughed and have cried when we’ve cried, but you’ve also cheered us on in everything we do.

So, it’s payback time.  And hence, let’s get on to what I think is the number one reason we are packing on the weight at an alarming rate…

And that is the fact that our food is nutritionally deficient.  Our food is nutritionally bankrupt.  That’s a scary thing to hear, but it’s the God’s honest truth.  The food we eat doesn’t compare to the food our parents and their parents ate.

The wheat isn’t the same, the eggs aren’t the same, the meat isn’t the same and neither are the fruits and vegetables.  None of it’s even in the ballpark of sameness.

We are all toxic.  And because we are toxic, our bodies produce fat to envelop the toxins in order to protect us.  When you lose the toxins, you shed the fat.

Now how in the world can we go about losing toxins?  I mean, really?  Well, it’s actually quite simple. You can go on a starvation diet that consists solely of distilled water, or you can cleanse at the cellular level.

That’s right, that’s it!!  Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

Intermittent fasting is the name of the game here, y’all!  Intermittent Fasting is when, for a day or two per week or month, you abstain from normal foods and meals.

I know it may sound like kind of a bummer, and the first few times it truly is. But once you see consistent results and feel how energized and powerful you feel … you will want to fast intermittently for life.  There’s just no denying it!

Now, I can say this, I felt like crud before I found this gem of a hack.  I told you.  I was overweight by A TON … like 50 lbs.  I felt awful, and getting me to get out and do all the cool things we do as a family, was hard.  I wasn’t me, I was dragging.

And it all came to a head the day it took me 1 hr and 10 minutes to get up the Manitou Incline, and it took Kady and Maddy less than 30!!!

I realized I was going to become the person I never wanted to be … the mom on the sideline, the mom who can’t keep up, the mom who waits at the bottom.  Heck no, my kids keep up with me and that’s just the way it had to remain.

So it was then that I took to the Internet and did years of research in a matter of months.  I even got so addicted to info I considered going back to school … but not for long, because that would take me away from Dan and the kids … so no, I was just going to use the info for me.  Until everyone wanted to know HOW.

And now I’m telling you … Intermittent fasting results in me losing 2-3 pounds every single time.
